I wrote this song as an outpouring of emotions about a year after my Dad died. The urge to write this came upon me very quickly one night sitting restlessly at home on my couch. I started playing this chord pattern and the words just seemingly fell onto the paper as I was playing the chords. I think this is my most emotional song and I still feel the sentiment of this song each and every time I play it live or listen to it. Hope it makes you feel something too!

i want to thank my Dad for being the inspiration to this song for me. He truly supported me even when he didn't agree with my choices. Not a better father that I could have chosen myself. I love you Dad!

I also want share a special story with you all. This song has always meant so much to me and it caught the ear of Joe Hubbard and Michelle LLoyd. They asked me if this could be their wedding song and I was overwhelmed with joy at their request. Long story but I was there when they had their first date and they knew this song already because I would play it acoustically at my gigs and they would attend many of them. This was such an honor and I will never forget this. Joe and Michelle are married now and they have always been a huge support to me in my life. Love you guys!
